This all started in year 2003 when Prof. Dr. Zahid Yasin Hashmi, Head of Medicine Deptt. Allied Hospital Faisalabad conceived the idea of establishing a medical centre exclusively for the patients suffering from Liver diseases.

About 500 million individuals currently are suffering from hepatitis B or C worldwide Among Pakistanis 12 % person having hepatitis B or C. About one third beds of every teaching hospital are occupied by the liver related patients. In Faisalabad the prevalence of Hepatitis C is 22 %, and marked as RED Belt by United Nations. There is no single centre, in Punjab which is specifically or purpose fully built for success.

Chairman Message

Liver Centre was founded in July 2005. On the eve of its 9th Anniversary I express my very sincere appreciation to all those who love mankind & express this love by taking care of the suffering humanity.

Trustees of Liver Foundation have been supportive since the day idea of Liver Centre was conceived. Without out their generous support it would not have been possible to achieve present status of Liver Centre. All running cost of the centre is born by them. EDO Message

The doctor has been taught to be interested not in the health but in disease. What the public is taught is that health is cure for disease. If I were to chose between these two statements, I go with the later one even though I’ am a doctor myself.

Working for the welfare of the poor and needy is my aim in life, in fact my profession is what defines my status and pretty much myself.
